Hi. Today, I’m going to be carrying on the CuraVision ABC series, and this client is Mr K. Kevin came to us a 37 year old male, nonsmoker, BMI in the perfect range, and his special risk was that through a separate medical complication 10 years ago, that he has fully recovered from, it had been established that he was only born with one kidney, and that he did have chronic kidney disease. Now, the condition was seen to be mild to moderate, so that would be classed as stage two/stage three chronic kidney disease. It did affect his blood pressure a little bit, and he was on daily medication to control the condition.

Kevin has a capital loan repayment mortgage of £190,000 over 22 years with his partner, and what we were able to arrange was a joint decreasing life insurance policy of £190,000 over 22 years, for a monthly premium of approximately £31. Now, there had been a slight increase to the base premium, due to his health, having the chronic kidney disease there, but we felt overall that the premium that was offered by the insurer was very fair in the circumstances.

In this video I discuss our client Kevin who came to us having been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Kevin had a mortgage with his partner and they wanted to make sure that the liability was protected, in the event of either of their deaths.
