In order to submit your application we will need to know the length of your diagnosis, your HbA1c readings and any other contributory conditions such as high blood pressure and raised cholesterol. There are circumstances where type 2 diabetics can be accepted at standard premium rates but this is rare and requires very specific criteria to be met. Typically, type 1 and type 2 diabetics are looking at a medical loading of some description on their plans.
