There are a number of insurers who offer Critical Illness Cover for scuba divers. In order to establish the terms that they are willing to offer the insurer will want to know how regularly you dive, the qualifications you hold and if you take part in wreck or cave diving. Where the insurer feels that there is a low risk to your pastime it is likely that your policy will be accepted at standard terms. If there is concern that your take part in a more hazardous aspect of the sport then the insurer may increase the policy premiums or exclude claims that are a result of your scuba diving.
